A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with ICU expertise to provide critical patient care on a 13-week contract in Carlsbad, NM. This role involves working day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with flexible assignment rotations, including floating to the Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience • Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications • Experience working in ER and Med Surg settings • Comfortable with ventilator management, titratable drips, medication preparation, and patient hygiene • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification preferred • Ability to float and provide care across multiple departments effectively Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU, ER, and Med Surg units • Monitor and manage ventilators, medication drips, and complex patient conditions • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update patient care plans • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols • Support effective patient hygiene and comfort measures throughout shifts Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico, is a welcoming community known for its natural beauty, including nearby parks and caves.
