Job Description
Critical care registered nurses play a vital role in managing patients facing life-threatening conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, severe trauma, respiratory distress, and other critical medical issues. This contract opportunity in Lewiston, ID, offers the chance to apply advanced nursing skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to intensive care.
Key responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, planning and implementing care plans, administering intravenous fluids and medications, assisting physicians with procedures, and ensuring medical equipment functions correctly. Critical care nurses also provide advanced life support, suctioning, ventilator adjustments, and act as advocates for patients and educators for their families. Duties may extend to caring for pre- and post-operative patients and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
• Current RN license in Idaho or multi-state compact license (must be attached to resume)
• ACLS and BLS certifications obtained through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an ICU setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to respond effectively in life-saving situations
