Providing expert care in a critical care environment, this role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing services to patients in the Coronary Care Unit with a dedication to safety and quality outcomes. The position is based in Abilene, TX, and offers a contract opportunity for experienced registered nurses seeking a challenging and rewarding assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to critical care patients using evidence-based nursing principles.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain professional standards while interacting with patients, families, and visitors.
• Adapt to various clinical assignments, including potential float to other units or additional campuses.
• Utilize knowledge and skills in managing a broad spectrum of acute medical conditions in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Prior experience in ICU or CCU nursing preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must reside 150 miles or more from the facility.
Schedule:
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
