A critical care nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in ICU care. This position requires expertise in managing critically ill patients across various intensive care units, offering a challenging and rewarding role in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting. The contract involves working night shifts with a schedule designed to provide consistency and support.

Situated in Arlington Heights, IL, the facility is known for its comprehensive trauma services and commitment to high-quality patient care. Position Details:
• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
• No holiday or weekend requests off (RTO) permitted; limited time-off requests with specific restrictions
• Floating required across various ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU, with potential float to medical-surgical units as needed
• Orientation and precepting week will be on day shifts
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in an ICU setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates preferred
• No pending licenses accepted
Responsibilities include providing expert nursing care, utilizing Cerner electronic charting, adhering to facility protocols, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
