Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Current Michigan RN license or pending with proof of application and concrete ETA • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required • NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; first-time ICU nurses considered • Proficiency in managing ventilators, CRRT, cooling therapies, and arterial/central line care • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and managing complex medical conditions such as COPD, DKA, AKI, respiratory failure, and cardiac arrest • Experience with medication administration including sedation, vasoactive drips, and IV insulin protocols • Ability to float between ICU and med-surg units, adapting to varying patient acuity and census fluctuations Responsibilities / Duties: • Provide specialized nursing care in a 1:1 to 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity, including ventilated and high-acuity patients • Monitor and manage critical care patients, utilizing advanced equipment and interventions • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Participate in weekend shifts every other weekend and flexible floating between units as needed • Maintain clear communication with charge nurses and physicians regarding patient status and care changes Schedule: • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 pm 7:00 am) Additional Details: • No return to office (RTO) in the first two weeks of assignment • All RTO requests must be submitted prior to offer acceptance and discussed if received later • Patient mix includes medical-surgical, PCU, and ICU level care with a focus on ventilator management and complex procedures This role is ideal for licensed ICU RNs ready to apply their critical care expertise in a supportive and fast-paced hospital setting.
