Critical Care Registered Nurse | Benton, Louisiana in Benton, LA

An opportunity for experienced critical care nurses to provide specialized care in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting is available. This position focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care in a Neuro ICU environment, with occasional floating to other ICUs as needed for support. This contract role offers a consistent night shift schedule, working 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, every third night, with weekends every other week. Location: Located in Benton, Louisiana, this role provides proximity to diverse cultural attractions and a warm Southern community. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU and other critical care units when floated • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Maintain vigilant monitoring and timely response to changes in patient condition • Participate actively in emergency response teams as assigned by unit management • Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and infection control policies to deliver high-quality patient care Qualifications & Experience: • Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU experience, minimum of 2 years preferred • First-time travel nurses welcome to apply • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and CPI required • Preferred experience with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Epic electronic health record system • Ability to work 3 twelve-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15) with every other weekend rotation • Willingness to participate on emergency teams and remain on-site during emergent events as directed Additional Details: • Scrub color: Royal blue • Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:2 in a 10-bed Neuro ICU • Floating will be limited to other ICU units in critical need This contract position presents a chance to apply critical care nursing skills in a dynamic setting with supportive resources and a collaborative team.
