Critical Care Registered Nurse - Boerne, Texas in Boerne, TX

Key Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive ICU nursing care including managing chest tubes, tracheostomies, intubations, central and arterial lines, and other critical procedures. • Utilize strong critical thinking to assess patient conditions and respond effectively to rapidly changing situations. • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. • Accurately document patient information using Meditech electronic health records and ensure compliance with unit policies. • Adhere to strict attendance and professional appearance standards, including scrub color code and personal grooming guidelines. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted) • Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience, preferably in MICU or MSICU settings • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required • NIH Stroke Certification preferred • Experience with Meditech charting is an advantage • Ability and willingness to float to other units as required This is a contract position with guaranteed hours and rotating weekends, offering 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
