Critical Care Registered Nurse - Concord, New Hampshire in Bow, NH

A critical care nursing position is available in a highly specialized Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Concord, NH. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide expert care within a 20-bed mixed medical-surgical ICU known for utilizing advanced technology and handling complex patient cases requiring close monitoring and individualized treatment. The unit supports a variety of critical procedures and prides itself on a dedicated, skilled team approach to patient care.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients with critical conditions, including those requiring mechanical ventilation, ECMO, and post-operative cardiac support.
• Manage advanced monitoring equipment such as telemetry monitors, ventilators, and continuous renal replacement therapy devices.
• Perform specialized procedures including central and arterial line insertions, chest tube placements, thoracentesis, and pericardiocentesis.
• Collaborate efficiently with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate patient condition and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems, ensuring high standards of documentation and compliance.

Qualifications:
• Current RN licensure with demonstrated ICU experience.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
• Prior experience with telemetry, critical drips, ventilators, and advanced cardiac support devices preferred.
• Skilled in performing ICU-specific procedures and comfortable managing high-acuity cases.
• Highly organized with adaptability to dynamic clinical environments.

Schedule:
• Every third weekend off.
• No on-call responsibilities.
