Job Description
A critical care nursing opportunity is available for registered nurses experienced in ICU settings at a long-term acute care specialty hospital. This contract position offers dedicated night shifts, providing focused care within a supportive team environment.
Location:
Situated in Dunn, North Carolina, this facility serves as a crucial regional healthcare provider with a 66-bed capacity dedicated to long-term acute care. The hospital boasts advanced electronic charting systems and a collaborative nursing culture.
Key Details:
• Position Type: Contract
• Schedule: Nights, 4 shifts of 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Specialty: ICU/LTAC nursing care
• Charting System: Epic
• Uniform Colors: Royal blue and white
Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive care to patients requiring intensive and long-term acute care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care within the ICU and related units
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation using the Epic electronic charting system
• Float within scope as needed to support similar units and meet patient care demands
• Adhere to hospital policies including block scheduling accommodations and call-off policies
Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina or eligibility to obtain
• Prior ICU nursing experience preferred; first-time ICU nurses will be considered
• Ability to work nights and every other weekend schedule
• Flexibility to float between like units within the facilitys scope of practice
• Compliance with hospital contract limits and returning staff policies
