Overview: Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift Status: Non-Exempt Join our team as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)! We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide exceptional, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients during 12-hour night shifts. This rewarding role involves direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. As an ICU RN, you will be entrusted with the care of assigned patients, demonstrating sound clinical judgment, and responding effectively to changes in patient condition. Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to ICU patients following established standards. • Perform focused and ongoing patient assessments, including vital signs and cardiac monitoring. • Identify and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and the care team promptly. • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to provider orders safely. • Engage in patient and family education regarding the plan of care. • Collaborate with and support fellow nursing personnel. • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. • Follow protocols for patient safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality. Qualifications: • Current and valid state RN License. • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred. • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. • Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current. • Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care preferred. • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
