Job Description
Deliver critical care with confidence in a specialized Level II trauma neuro/surgical ICU setting. This contract opportunity in Gridley, CA offers experienced ICU Registered Nurses a challenging and rewarding role serving neuro/trauma patients who require advanced monitoring such as ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. The unit maintains a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio in a 12-bed environment, ideal for nurses eager to utilize their acute critical care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized nursing care to neuro/trauma patients in a Level II trauma NT/SICU.
• Manage complex patient conditions including those requiring ICP monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and lumbar drains.
• Flexibly float to Cardiovascular, Telemetry Care, ICU/CCU, or Med Surg units as clinical needs demand.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate and efficient documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of acute critical care experience, specifically in a Level II trauma setting.
• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven experience working as a travel nurse.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Ability to adapt quickly to varied patient care areas through float assignments.
