
Critical Care Registered Nurse - Hamilton, Ohio in Fairfield, OH
Job Description
Provide expert care as a registered nurse specializing in intensive care, working with critically ill patients who require advanced medical attention. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive care for individuals experiencing severe conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, respiratory distress, trauma, and other life-threatening situations.
Key responsibilities include assessing and implementing individualized care plans, administering intravenous fluids and medications, monitoring vital signs, managing ventilators and other critical equipment, and assisting physicians during complex procedures. You will also collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team, respond efficiently in emergency situations, and serve as an advocate and educator for patients and their families throughout the care process. Experience in caring for pre- and post-operative patients and knowledge of case management or administrative duties may also be part of the role.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Recent experience in long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) settings, including trach and ventilator management
• Valid Ohio RN license or multi-state RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Proven ability to function in high-stress, fast-paced critical care environments
