Job Description
Providing critical care to patients in an intensive care unit requires expertise, compassion, and adaptability. This opportunity calls for a skilled registered nurse with specialized experience in ICU settings to support a busy hospital in Liberty, MO. The role is a contract position, offering a dynamic environment working primarily night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor patient status closely, administer treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Support patient populations including those with cardiothoracic surgery (CTS) and neurological conditions.
• Float to stepdown/PCU units as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage, contributing to comprehensive patient support.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an ICU registered nurse.
• Preferred experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center.
• Experience caring for CTS and neuro patients highly valued.
• Current RN license with certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Completion of TNCC training preferred.
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling including every third weekend and holiday shifts.
