Critical Care Registered Nurse - Manchester, New Hampshire in Auburn, NH

This contract opportunity is for a Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU expertise, offering the chance to provide critical care in a well-equipped Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The unit features 20 beds and a dedicated staff including charge nurses, RNs, licensed nursing assistants (LNAs), and sitters. Patient-to-nurse ratios vary based on acuity, with assignments adjusted from 1 : 1 up to 1 : 4 depending on patient needs. The ICU cares for a mixed medical and surgical population, and nurses will work with advanced equipment such as ventilators, telemetry monitors, CRRT, Impella, IABP, and more, documenting care through the Sunrise EMR system.

Qualifications :
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with current credentials
• Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS
• Experience and skills in telemetry and progressive care unit (PCU) or higher acuity
• Preferred experience with critical drips, ventilators, and prior ICU experience
• Ability to perform or assist with procedures including central and arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability suited to critical care settings

Responsibilities :
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients
• Monitor telemetric and hemodynamic data and make appropriate clinical decisions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize specialized equipment such as rapid transfusers, Bair huggers, and ventilators
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Sunrise EMR system

Schedule :
• Every third weekend, no call duty
