
Critical Care Registered Nurse - Montpelier, North Dakota in Adrian, ND
Job Description
Deliver critical care as an experienced ICU nurse in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide specialized nursing care to patients of all ages in a 23-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit, focusing on cardiac-related conditions and respiratory support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process for ICU patients.
• Perform telemetry monitoring, dressing changes, ventilator/BiPAP management, and IV starts.
• Lead patient and family education efforts to support recovery and well-being.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to uphold professional nursing standards.
• Utilize technology such as Epic electronic charting, Omnicell medication systems, Liko and EZ lifts, Alaris IV pumps, and Nova Statstrip glucose monitors.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation including weekends, with variable hours.
Qualifications and Licenses:
• Active ND State or compact RN license (willingness to obtain required if applicable).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with completion of a basic cardiology course.
• Minimum one year of ICU nursing experience, including knowledge of cardiac medications and rhythm analysis.
• Flu shot compliance required prior to assignment.
• Ability to work in black scrubs as per dress code.
Schedule/Hours:
• Full-time position, 72 hours per two-week pay period.
• 12-hour shifts with day and night rotation, variable days including weekends.
