
Critical Care Registered Nurse | Newport, New Hampshire in Croydon, NH
Job Description
Provide expert critical care nursing in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit serving adolescent to geriatric patients. This contract opportunity is located in Newport, NH, offering a chance to apply your ICU nursing skills in a Level III Trauma center with a focused, collaborative team environment. The ICU maintains a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio across a 10-bed unit, ensuring a manageable workload and high quality care delivery.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN licensure with a valid New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate (required for submission)
• Proven ICU experience, specifically in Level III Trauma settings preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage complex patient populations ranging from adolescents to the elderly
• Ability to adhere strictly to scheduling requirements and time-off policies due to the nature of the assignment
• Willingness to work independently without block scheduling accommodations or sharing workload with other placements
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to comply with travel contract policy
Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of critical care nursing practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care and ensure patient safety
• Maintain documentation in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory requirements
• Manage ventilators, IV drips, and other critical care equipment efficiently
• Support trauma and emergency interventions consistent with the facility's Level III Trauma designation
