
Critical Care Registered Nurse | Raeford, North Carolina in Bowmore, NC
Job Description
Provide critical care expertise in a well-regarded long-term acute care setting, delivering attentive nursing care to patients requiring specialized support. This night-shift role involves working four 12-hour shifts per week, with a schedule of 7 PM to 7 AM, in a hospital equipped with Epic charting and a dedicated team focused on quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to ICU and LTAC patients in accordance with clinical protocols
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions and updates
• Applying advanced assessment skills to monitor patient progress and respond to changing conditions
• Floating between like units within the hospital to meet evolving patient and staffing needs
• Maintaining accurate documentation using the Epic electronic health record system
Desired qualifications and experience:
• Active RN license with ICU nursing experience; first-time ICU nurses are welcome to apply
• Ability to adapt to night shifts while maintaining professional performance and patient safety
• Flexibility to accommodate block scheduling arrangements
• Willingness to work every other weekend as required by the schedule
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across units

This opportunity is offered as a contract assignment, with a call-off policy allowing two shifts off per 13-week term, and guaranteed hours thereafter based on contracted shifts. Note that prior system contract limits apply, including a maximum of two contracts before a six-month break is required. Return staff must observe a one-year interval before reapplying as travelers.
