
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU/Full-time in Cañada de los Alamos, NM
Job Description
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
Certification/Licenses: Must possess a current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license. BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within 2 weeks of the hire date. Additional required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment. If certifications are held at the time of hire, they must be maintained without any grace period for renewal.
Skills:
• Up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the age and type of patients served
• Understanding and sensitivity to patients' rights during care delivery
• Effective communication skills tailored to the developmental age of patients

- Responsible to: Patient Care Director or Manager
Environment:
• Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens (OR, PACU, L&D)
• Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens (other Patient Care areas)
• Potential exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays

Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to manage emergencies or crisis situations, along with prolonged periods of standing and walking. Heavy physical effort is necessary to transfer and position patients, equipment, and supplies. The role involves considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Candidates must have the visual ability to distinguish colors and aural acuity within normal or correctable limits, as well as manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
