Critical Care Registered Nurse | Rockport, Maine in Rockport, ME

A registered nurse with ICU and Step Down experience is needed for a contract position in Rockport, ME. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized care in an 8-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 2-3 patients. The position operates on 12-hour shifts with a schedule that includes every other weekend and varying call requirements. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill and step-down patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and adapting to float assignments on other units such as the Medical Surgical Unit. Proficiency in using EPIC electronic medical records is essential. Key qualifications and requirements: • Registered Nurse licensure • Minimum of 2 years ICU and Step Down nursing experience • Current certifications in ACLS and BLS; PALS and NIHSS preferred but not required • Ability to float between units as needed • Comfortable with a solid color scrub dress code (no prints) • Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills This contract offers 36 guaranteed weekly hours with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend work is scheduled every other weekend, and call duties vary based on unit needs.
