Critical Care Registered Nurse | Spring Lake, North Carolina in Spring Lake, NC

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with ICU experience to provide exceptional care in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting located in Spring Lake, NC. This contract position offers the chance to work with a specialized patient population while developing your nursing skills in a supportive environment. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides a collaborative atmosphere focused on patient-centered care.

Location:

Schedule:
• Night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation every other weekend required
• Floating within similar units may be required

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to long-term acute care patients in an ICU setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Utilize Epic for thorough and accurate documentation
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support patient and family education and communication

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license with ICU experience
• Ability and willingness to float within unit scope as needed
• Acceptance of candidates new to travel nursing
• Ability to commit to a minimum of a 13-week assignment with specific call-off policies
• Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred
• Comfort with night shift working hours and rotating weekends

Additional Information:

This opportunity is designed for those who meet a 50-mile radius limit from the facility location. Pending licenses are not accepted for this role. The facility maintains a return staff policy requiring a one-year gap before re-engaging as a traveler and limits contract extensions. Locals outside the radius and candidates needing multiple contract renewals may face restrictions.
