Critical Care Registered Nurse - Trussville, Alabama in Center Point, AL

Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, respiratory distress, COVID, and complex post-op surgical cases. • Monitor and manage patients requiring specialized procedures such as External Ventricular Drain (EVD) care. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Utilize Cerner electronic health records for accurate charting and documentation. • Provide care according to established nurse-to-patient ratios (2:1). • Float as needed to critical care areas based on skill set. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Current RN license with ICU experience, preferably in Neuro or Critical Care units. • BLS and ACLS certifications required. • Ability to manage complex post-operative and respiratory conditions. • Experience with Cerner electronic medical record systems preferred. • Flexibility to work every other weekend and float to other critical care areas as needed. Schedule: • 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. • Weekend coverage every other weekend.
