This position is vital in delivering exceptional patient care using the Nursing Process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and the Scope & Standards of Practice. As an RN, you will guide and support other team members, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes while respecting the diverse backgrounds of our patients. You will be accountable for your actions, promoting both professional and organizational goals in nursing.
To excel in this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Education:
• Required: Registered Nurse Diploma
• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Work Experience:
• Required: None
• Certifications:
• Required:
• Current RN License in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
• Proficiency in computer skills for data entry and patient information retrieval.
• Ability to work with Windows-style applications and specific software packages.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver compassionate patient care.
• Assess and implement educational strategies for patients and families.
• Manage nursing resources effectively, acting as a leader in the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Use data to evaluate and foster process improvements for optimal outcomes.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale through positive nursing practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Be aware of the physical and environmental demands of this job. Employees may be required to lift between 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and 25 to 50 pounds frequently. The position may expose you to blood, body fluids, and tissue, as well as infectious diseases due to patient interactions and handling of medical waste.
