An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with strong Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience willing to also cover Critical Care Unit (CCU) shifts. This contract role is based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, at a smaller independent hospital dedicated to providing high-quality care and keeping patients close to home. The ideal candidate will have Day 0 CVICU experience and a solid background in critical care nursing. The hospital features two catheterization labs, including a hybrid cath lab, offering a cutting-edge environment for cardiovascular care. Location Overview: Glenwood Springs sits along the I-70 Corridor between Denver and Grand Junction. It offers a beautiful setting with outdoor recreational opportunities, a welcoming community atmosphere, and convenient access to larger urban centers. Responsibilities: • Provide expert nursing care in the CVICU and CCU settings. • Participate in a 12-hour night shift schedule, including weekends. • Engage in call rotation, committing to one call shift every two weeks per staffing needs. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery from cardiovascular procedures and critical illnesses. Qualifications: • Current Colorado RN license in good standing. • Minimum of 3 years of critical care nursing experience. • Strong CVICU skills with Day 0 patient care experience. • American Heart Association certifications: BLS and ACLS (PALS preferred). • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions).
