Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac and Cardiovascular Intensive Care to provide expert care in a critical care environment. This role requires dedication to high-acuity patient care and the ability to work night shifts effectively in a fast-paced, acute care setting.
Location:
Positioned in Dillon, South Carolina, this facility serves as a vital healthcare provider in the region with 276 staffed beds and an advanced Epic electronic charting system. Nurses enjoy benefits such as free parking and a professional work environment. Note that the area experiences hurricane season from June to November, which may require participation in emergency response efforts during peak months.
Schedule and Responsibilities:
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM
• Holiday rotation and every other weekend requirement
• Floating within similar units or sister facilities as needed
• Direct cardiac patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Adherence to facility policies and high standards of nursing practice
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current SC nursing license or compact license ready before starting
• Minimum of one year of cardiac nursing experience in critical care
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Prior experience in CVICU settings preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
• Flexibility to request block schedules with prior approval
Additional Details:
• The role is offered on a contract basis
• Facility may reduce hours by at most one shift biweekly
• Locals considered on a case-by-case basis
