Provide specialized pediatric cardiac intensive care as a Registered Nurse with expertise in cardiovascular and pediatric critical care. This contract assignment is based in Summerville, SC, at a highly regarded, award-winning pediatric cardiac ICU recognized nationally for superior patient outcomes. Shift & Schedule: • Rotating schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week • Shift hours alternate between 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM • Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period, with holiday rotation • One shift cancellation possible every two weeks Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) • Manage complex patient needs including cardiac surgery recovery, ventricular assist devices (VAD), heart transplants, ECMO, CRRT, and advanced ventilatory support • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, dietitians, and pharmacists • Provide patient monitoring and documentation using EPIC electronic charting • Float within unit scope as necessary to meet patient care demands Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years pediatric cardiac ICU experience required • RN license valid in South Carolina or Multi-State Compact • American Heart Association certifications: PALS and BLS required; ACLS preferred • VAD experience strongly preferred but not required • First-time PICU nurses welcomed Benefits & Perks: • Exposure to a nationally recognized, Gold Beacon Award-winning ICU unit • Work in a Level I Trauma, Magnet, and Teaching hospital setting • Convenient parking available with reasonable fees • Collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply advanced nursing skills in a top-tier pediatric cardiac ICU setting with flexible block scheduling considered.
