A challenging opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing and vein harvesting. This contract position is located in Battle Creek, MI, offering a dynamic work environment in a well-established healthcare setting. Key Qualifications: • Proven CVOR nursing experience with strong proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting • At least 3 or 4 years’ experience in vein harvesting and cardiac surgery areas • Ability to support general department float assignments, including orthopedics, vascular, gynecology, thoracic, and general surgeries when cardiac coverage is not required • Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) or Surgical Technologist First Assistant (STFA) credentials are acceptable • Five years of nursing experience is highly preferred • Prior travel healthcare experience is beneficial • Willingness to work 12-18 call days per month and 2-3 weekends per month Schedule: • Day shift available with two options: 8 days per 40 hours (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) or 10 days per 40 hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) • Guaranteed 40 hours per week Responsibilities: • Perform endoscopic vein harvesting with precision and care • Assist in cardiac surgeries, ensuring smooth procedural flow and patient safety • Provide float coverage in various surgical departments as needed • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care Battle Creek, MI, is a vibrant city that blends Midwestern charm with modern amenities.
