CVOR Registered Nurse - Edgewood, New Mexico in Edgewood, NM

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with CVOR experience to provide specialized perioperative care. This contract position involves four 10-hour shifts with potential weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations, supporting flexible scheduling to meet department needs. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Ensure patient safety and quality by following established protocols and standards of care. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, accurately documenting all interventions. • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care. • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to LPNs and assistive personnel. • Participate in competency assessments and unit-specific education. • Support patient and family education and discharge planning. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Current RN licensure in the state of assignment. • Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. • Ability to work varied shifts including potential weekends and holidays. • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills. • Competency in documenting patient care and following hospital protocols.
