Job Description
Deliver specialized surgical nursing within a dynamic operating room environment focused on patient advocacy and exceptional care. This contract role centers on Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing, providing crucial support across a broad spectrum of surgical specialties. Work alongside a highly skilled team committed to evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in the CVOR setting, ensuring safety and quality.
• Lead and support nursing team efforts to deliver consistent, patient-centered care.
• Apply the nursing processincluding assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluationwithin a Shared Governance framework.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to promote a healing environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced technologies such as Da Vinci Surgical Robotics, navigational spinal and ENT surgery systems, and hybrid OR equipment for vascular procedures.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Current RN license from Arkansas or a Compact State in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications are beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy.
Schedule:
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• On-call required.
• Weekday nights (2+ nights, depending on staffing) and every third weekend (Friday through Sunday) duties.
