An opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing is available for a contract position in Yellville, AR. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional surgical nursing care and patient advocacy within a dynamic and technologically advanced operating room setting. Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care to assigned surgical patients, ensuring comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative support. • Lead nursing efforts within the team, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care through Shared Governance principles. • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote evidence-based practices that foster a healing environment for patients and their families. • Support complex surgeries across multiple specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardiovascular, Plastics, ENT, Urology, and Gynecology. Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred). • Current and active Registered Nurse license in Arkansas or a compact state. • Minimum of three years of nursing experience preferred, ideally with surgical or CVOR exposure. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) encouraged. • Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency. Schedule/Hours: • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. • On-call responsibilities including weekday nights (two or more depending on staffing) and every third weekend (Friday through Sunday).
