DescriptionNight OR Nurse Operating Room Tour Responsibilities:The OR Nurse plans and delivers patient careCollaborates with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patientsPerform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing patient histories and conducting physical examinationsPerform scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies during proceduresPerform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communication of patient conditionMonitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the surgical processAssist with specimen collection, processing, and documentationEducate patients and familyPlan continuum of careWhat you will needRequired:Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame)Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.BLS certification (American Heart Association)At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating)Preferred:BSN or MSN preferred
