The Role:

In Valdez, AK, you will assume a dual role as Long-Term Care Administrator and Director of Nursing. You'll ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and codes of conduct, fostering teamwork and positive change within a transformational care model.

What You'll Do:
• Leadership/Supervision: Provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services. Demonstrate decision-making abilities and delegate tasks effectively, encouraging staff development and recognizing achievements.
• Communication: Exhibit professional interpersonal skills and compassion in all interactions, ensuring clear and effective communication across diverse audiences.
• Teamwork: Build cohesive teams by fostering trust and collaboration, monitoring processes, and promoting positive interaction to enhance team effectiveness.
• Development and Organizing: Implement and manage teams and schedules consistently with staff development plans. Engage in personnel functions and prioritize workflow to meet demands efficiently.
• Financial Resource/Stewardship: Monitor budgets, coordinate service agreements, and develop cost-effective processes to align facility goals with community needs.
• Quality Improvement & Assurance: Lead quality control programs, seeking customer input and reporting performance to quality assurance committees and boards.
• Customer Service: Uphold Providence Service Standards, building productive relationships and demonstrating service excellence in every interaction.
• Elder Care: Provide clinical guidance as a Registered Nurse, advocate for resident care, and respond to emergencies with dedication and professionalism.
• Ensuring Quality of Care: Review resident care routinely, adhere to Resident's Rights, and supervise documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaboration: Oversee interdisciplinary teams, promote individualized care plans, and ensure compliance with regulations in collaboration with the Medical Director.
• Admissions: Coordinate resident placements, promote SMH, and strive to maintain a full census.
• Implement Care/Services: Recognize and address the age/diversity specific needs of our residents.

What You’ll Bring?
• Educational Background: Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire, or equivalent education/experience; Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or Management preferred.
• Extensive Experience: 5 years of management experience with a focus on long-term and resident-directed care models.
• Strategic Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the principles and theory of Long-Term Care Practice, enabling you to effectively implement and oversee care models.
• Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated ability in management and leadership to guide teams towards achieving organizational objectives.
• Communication Excellence: Exceptional skills in articulating ideas clearly and fostering strong interpersonal relationships across all levels.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in navigating complex healthcare administration challenges and finding effective solutions.
• Collaboration Prowess: Ability to inspire teamwork and develop staff in a cohesive care environment.
