Director of Behavioral Health Services (BHS)

Direct Hire | Hospital-Based | Leadership

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Available

Why This Role

Lead and grow a hospital-based Behavioral Health Services department with full responsibility for strategy, operations, compliance, staffing, and program expansion. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced RN Behavioral Health leader ready to drive growth, quality, and regulatory excellence.
What You’ll Do
• Direct Behavioral Health Services operations and long-term strategic growth
• Ensure regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and quality outcomes
• Manage staffing, budgets, productivity, and resource utilization
• Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives
• Build strong partnerships with physicians, community agencies, and leadership
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, coaching, and retention of behavioral health staff
What We’re Looking For
• Active RN license required
• BSN required | MSN Psychiatric Nursing preferred
• Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing leadership experience
• BLS required | CPI required
• Hospital or acute care behavioral health experience strongly preferred
