ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION JOURNEYMAN Deseret Power is an electric utility serving Utah and surrounding states. We have an excellent job opportunity for an Instrumentation & Controls Journeyman at our Bonanza Power Plant, a 500 MW coal-fired generation station, near Vernal, Utah The successful candidate will be required to install, maintain, and repair plant electrical and control equipment and provide accurate and safe control of power generation units and their associated auxiliaries. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent. We would prefer at least 2-years of experience as a technician in a power plant or an industrial setting. Responsibilities include troubleshooting of control schemes with the ability to interpret schematic drawings. Responsible for proper inspection and repair of all control equipment including temperature, pressure, flow, density, and level control systems and devices. Must be capable of troubleshooting and repairing 480/4160-volt plant equipment along with troubleshooting motor control circuits. Must have working knowledge of distributed control systems and a variety of valves and transmitters. We offer excellent working conditions and a competitive salary/benefits package.
