Job Description

Provide specialized nursing care as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology (EP) Laboratory environment. This role demands advanced knowledge and skill to support physicians during complex cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and interventional neurology procedures, including cutting-edge treatments such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and stroke thrombectomy. The position requires independent functioning during diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintaining patient safety, and real-time documentation accuracy. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare procedure areas and patients for safe and efficient delivery of care. • Review and verify patient charts, lab results, and consents prior to procedures. • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure nursing assessments and monitoring. • Administer procedural sedation within established protocols. • Participate actively in procedural safety checks and team communication. • Utilize electrophysiology documentation systems for accurate recording of procedures. • Support new staff through preceptorship and promote continuous education. • Respond to an on-call schedule including varied shifts, holidays, and weekends. Desired Qualifications and Experience: • Current Registered Nurse licensure with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; Associate degree acceptable with progress toward Bachelor’s within 36 months. • Proven experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab environments is strongly preferred. • Familiarity with device implantations, electrophysiology procedures, and interventional neurology strongly advantageous.
