Emergency Care Registered Nurse - PRN in Gibsland, LA

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Care Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide both routine and complex care independently, while demonstrating clinical awareness and effective management of patient needs. Key Responsibilities: • Fulfill the expectations set by the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. • Deliver nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice; this includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your patients. • Address the intricate psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families based on your level of expertise. • Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, while vigilantly monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness. • Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. • Assess educational needs and provide relevant education to patients, families, and caregivers, while identifying potential issues and resources. Position Requirements: • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. • Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a related nursing specialty is preferred. • Licenses & Certifications: • BLS certification is required. • State RN License or compact is required. • ACLS certification is required. • PALS certification is required. Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire and will be paired with a designated staff member for preceptorship. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory. Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
