Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a skilled Emergency Care Registered Nurse. In this role, you will practice independently in a fast-paced environment, delivering both routine and complex nursing care. You will play a vital role in managing patient care, addressing the diverse physical and emotional needs of patients and their families, and ensuring optimal care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to provide exceptional care for assigned patients, in line with ANA Standards.
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols, monitoring patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document comprehensive patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and deliver education to patients, family members, and care providers, identifying concerns and available resources.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in the relevant nursing specialty.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification required.
• Current RN License in the state of employment or compact state.
Position Requirements:
Education/Skills:
• Newly hired experienced RNs must attend orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires will be precepted by trained staff and must complete designated organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation.
• All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or specific orientation, achieving competency at the bedside with a preceptor's guidance.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.
Experience:
• A minimum of one year in a relevant nursing specialty is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Current PALS certification required.
In accordance with our License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates must obtain required certifications for their positions within the designated timeframe.
Credential Grace Periods:
Additional credentials required per the Position Requirements section may have a grace period based on experience level.
• Candidates with at least one year of acute care clinical experience in a related specialty within the last three years are considered Experienced Associates.
• Candidates without this experience are classified as Experienced Associates New to the Specialty.
