
Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Aitkin, MN
Job Description
About the Position:
Administer prescribed treatments and personal care services within the scope of the RN license, ensuring compliance with established clinical guidelines and standards. Responsible for providing expert care to complex patients in emergencies or critical care settings. This includes triaging patients, assisting in advanced procedures, monitoring subtle changes in condition, and responding promptly to ensure optimal outcomes. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, communicates effectively with patients and families, and maintains current certifications to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
Minimum:
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting preferred.
• Current TNCC, CALS, NRP, and either PALS or ENPC, or the ability to complete within one year of hire.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or work permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain during orientation.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to obtain before completion of orientation.
• Current TNCC, CALS, NRP, and either PALS or ENPC, or the ability to complete within one year of hire.
