
Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Full Time in Hope, AR
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in emergency care. In this role, you will manage a variety of patient situations independently while continually developing your nursing competencies. You will be responsible for providing both routine and complex care and will have the opportunity to impact patient outcomes significantly.
Responsibilities:
• Exemplify the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for your assigned patients, adhering to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Identify and address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols, monitoring patient responses and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medication administered, and care provided clearly and accurately.
• Evaluate patients' learning needs and offer education to them, their families, and caregivers while identifying relevant issues and resources.
Requirements:
Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
• 1 year of experience in an emergency department or related nursing specialty is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Current PALS certification required.
• Current TNCC certification required.
Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. All new hires will be paired with a designated preceptor for support and will complete necessary onboarding and competency validations during this period. Additionally, newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program tailored to our emergency department.
