Description 3+ years of recent ED RN experience strongly preferred. Location: UCHealth UCHlth Med Ctr of the Rockies, Loveland, CO Department: MCR ER Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Nights Pay: $40.86 - $63.33 / hour (dependent on relevant experience) This is an onsite position with no hybrid or remote options. Summary: Join our dynamic team, where you will provide essential nursing leadership in the Emergency Department. You will not only supervise and mentor a skilled team but also have the opportunity to directly care for patients as circumstances demand. Responsibilities: • Supervise and mentor staff during your shift, ensuring optimal patient care. • Assess staffing needs based on availability, ability, patient census, and acuity. • Deliver direct patient care and assist staff in problem-solving and support. • Evaluate patient care effectiveness and address any issues affecting outcomes. • Manage complaints about care through established channels and ensure quality standards. • Perform necessary role-specific duties, including orders, admissions, discharges, and transfers. • Ensure that staff have all necessary equipment and resources for safe care. • Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced setting. Requirements: • Registered Nurse license. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN). • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (obtained within 3 years of the Charge RN position). • 1 year of nursing experience. • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. • BLS certification must be current prior to start date.
