Shifts Available: Days and Nights
Employment Type: Full Time, Part Time
Hours: 12hr Shifts
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000.00
We are eager to welcome new graduate RNs who have completed strong clinical rotations and are excited about the field of emergency care.
Responsibilities:
This role is critical in assessing and treating patients with urgent and emergent conditions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will:
• Deliver safe, effective, and timely patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform rapid and thorough patient assessments, monitoring for changes in condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to emergencies and variations in patient status.
• Effectively communicate patient needs, diagnostic findings, and clinical changes to physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation following hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Protect patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care delivery.
• Maintain competency in cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, trauma care, and emergency interventions.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Training:
• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital is preferred, especially in an ER setting.
• Certification as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Facility Specific Requirements:
• In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
• EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric courses 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
• Non-OB facilities: NRP (AHA) certificate within 90 days of hire and maintain current.
