Job Summary and Qualifications The Emergency Medical Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a seamless and caring experience for patients arriving via EMS. Key responsibilities include welcoming patients and EMS personnel in the designated area and collaborating with the clinical nurse coordinator to prepare for incoming patients. The Coordinator also handles EMS surges to ensure timely patient transfers. When not engaged in offloading patients, duties extend to overseeing the EMS lounge, maintaining the stroke care area, assisting clinical staff, and conducting other administrative tasks. Frequent communication with the EMS PPR Director regarding strategic initiatives and feedback is essential. Qualifications required: • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment. • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment. • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of employment. • Registered Nurse (RN) license. • RN diploma or degree. • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment. • Advanced Trauma Care or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 30 days of employment.
