Job Description
StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with a respected healthcare system in Louisiana to recruit dedicated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for their Emergency Department in the Opelousas area. This community-based Emergency Department sees approximately 26,000 patient visits annually and offers a supportive, team-oriented environment with strong physician collaboration.
Position Highlights
• Provide comprehensive emergency care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians and nursing staff to manage both acute and non-acute cases
• Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies to guide clinical decision-making
• Perform emergency procedures within the APP scope of practice
• Document and track patient care using Cerner EMR
• 12-hour APP shifts (9 AM 9 PM) working alongside 24-hour physician coverage
