This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide critical care in a Level 2 Trauma Center within a busy Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of emergency nursing experience, including trauma, working in an inpatient setting. Qualifications and Experience: • Current Registered Nurse license valid in Missouri • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department/inpatient experience with trauma exposure • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC • Ability to work night shifts (6 PM to 6 AM) and every third weekend as scheduled • Flexibility to float to similar or lower acuity units if needed • Familiarity with EMR, specifically EPIC Responsibilities: • Deliver direct patient care across all age groups utilizing nursing processes for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation • Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and patient comfort • Maintain professional accountability and ensure patient confidentiality • Function within the scope of practice outlined by Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards • Meet physical demands including lifting, standing, and safe patient handling reflective of trauma nursing • Participate in day-shift orientation with commitment for the entire week Additional Details: • 13-week contract with flexible guaranteed hours (36 or 48 per week) • Night shift schedule with possible blocked scheduling based on facility needs • No call requirements; weekend hours scheduled as required • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November through April This position is a contract role with competitive benefits and the opportunity to work in an advanced, nationally recognized healthcare setting.
