Emergency Room Nurse (RN) - Hilo, HI in Hilo, HI

Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic emergency room setting with a focus on fast patient turnover and collaborative teamwork. This contract opportunity is based in Hilo, HI, offering a chance to work in a 28-bed ER department with diverse patient needs, including trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Hawaii (required by assignment start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• Preferred certifications: Procedural Sedation, Trauma Management Certification Course (TMCC), and Emergency Management of Pediatric Care (EMPC)
• Ability to start on time with arrival by Thursday before orientation and employee health appointment on Friday

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced 28-bed ER department
• Manage patient care in trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitoring units
• Collaborate closely with medical teams to ensure effective and timely treatment
• Maintain compliance with all nursing protocols and Hawaii state nursing regulations

Schedule and Duration:
• Contract duration: 15 weeks
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours weekly)
• Note: No guaranteed hours

This is a contract position requiring a proactive approach to licensure and punctual availability for orientation.
