A Registered Nurse with experience in Emergency Room care is sought for a dynamic, fast-paced contract opportunity in Rockville, MD. This role involves providing exceptional nursing support in a high-volume, acute care setting, managing a wide variety of complex emergency department admissions. Ideal candidates will thrive in a challenging environment, working primarily day shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Emergency Room or related acute care nursing • Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) • Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays as required • Comfortable with floating between Emergency Department borders, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, and Intermediate Care units within specialty and scope • Strong assessment and prioritization skills to manage patient ratios averaging 1:6 Location Situated in Rockville, MD, a thriving city known for its vibrant community and access to extensive healthcare services. Responsibilities / Duties: • Provide direct patient care to emergency department and medical-surgical/telemetry border patients • Manage a fast-paced patient census ranging from 10 to 40 patients per day • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes • Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain patient safety standards • Participate in floating assignments among designated units as needed • Wear designated scrub color (Royal Blue) to identify unit assignment Schedule / Hours: • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) • Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled This 13-week contract offers an opportunity to gain diverse, hands-on clinical experience in a high-acuity setting.
