A critical role is available for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in a rural healthcare setting, providing comprehensive emergency care across all age groups. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver emergency nursing care including triage, assessment, treatment, and stabilization to patients of all ages • Respond promptly to trauma activations, medical emergencies, and urgent care situations • Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions following established protocols • Operate emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators • Coordinate patient care and transfers in collaboration with providers, EMS, and ancillary departments • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the electronic health record • Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment, and follow-up requirements • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines Qualifications: • Current RN license in the applicable state or a compact license • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Preferred Skills: • Experience in emergency, ICU, or acute care nursing • Certification or willingness to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) • Previous work in rural or critical access hospital environments Location Overview: Located in a scenic region of Montana, Savage offers a close-knit community atmosphere with access to outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
