Emergency Department RN – 13-Week Contract Location: Rushville, IL Shift: Nights (18:30 – 07:00) | 12-Hour Shifts Start Date: 3/9/2026 Job Order: #293458 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Rushville, IL. As a staff nurse in the Emergency Department, you will assume responsibility for a group of assigned patients, delivering high-quality acute care in a fast-paced environment. You will have the administrative authority and accountability necessary to carry out assigned duties while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Position Details • Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks) • Schedule: Rotating weekends; days vary based on hospital needs. • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner • Patient Population: All ages; varied acuity. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience. • Licensure: Current, active Illinois State RN License. • Certifications: • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Preferred • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Key Responsibilities • Triage incoming patients based on the severity of illness or injury. • Stabilize and monitor patients while administering life-sustaining medications and treatments. • Document all patient care and interventions accurately within the Cerner EMR system. • Collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and safety. • Maintain professionalism and composure during high-pressure medical emergencies.
