Position Summary: As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will coordinate, implement, and deliver nursing care with accuracy and timeliness. Position Requirements: Formal Education / Training: • Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program. • Valid nursing license in the State of Tennessee. • BLS certification within 90 days of hire. • For Adult Emergency Room: • One year of emergency experience preferred. • ACLS within 6 months of hire. • PALS within 6 months of hire. • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire. Workplace Experience: • Emergency Patient Care Delivery • Medical-Surgical Patient Care Delivery • Pediatric Patient Care Delivery Equipment and Skills Training: Familiarity with standard patient care equipment, the ability to work well under pressure, and flexibility in applying nursing knowledge in various settings. Physical Environment: • Emergency department servicing diverse patient populations. Physical Effort: • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing. • Ability to stand and work for up to twelve hours daily. • Lift patients with assistance up to 250 lbs. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments promptly upon admission. • Develop individualized care plans addressing specific needs and nursing diagnoses. • Provide patient education and planning for discharge. • Administer medications and document care accurately. • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary. • Support charge responsibilities and staff development. • Maintain a healing environment while upholding professionalism and safety.
