Known for serving a wide area including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes, the healthcare facility is a referral center offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services along with various surgical specialties. The unique setting combines natural beauty on the Colorado Plateau with a culturally diverse community that includes Native American, Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional nursing care in the emergency room based on patient conditions and treatment plans
• Follow physician orders, nursing standards, and hospital policies
• Support patients and their families throughout care
• Maintain required certifications and complete training within specified timelines
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary medical and nursing staff
Qualifications and Certifications:
• Current RN license from any U.S. state (Arizona license not required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification within one year of hire
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within one year of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within 6 months of hire
• Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within 3 months of hire
• Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire
Additional Details:
• Orientation offered every two weeks
• COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted following declination form submission
• Limited shared housing options at a monthly fee, requiring application two weeks prior to start; family and pets not permitted in housing
• Contract opportunity in a JCAHO accredited healthcare center with a 73-bed capacity serving a broad geographic area
