Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in an emergency room setting, delivering age-specific, direct patient care with a focus on implementing the Nursing Process. This role requires adherence to Department of Nursing Standards as well as Specialty Specific Standards and involves leadership responsibilities, including delegation to other healthcare team members. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care across age groups in the emergency department
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Assume leadership duties, including delegation and supervision of support staff
• Maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations and policies
• Keep all certifications current and participate in ongoing clinical orientation
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications prior to contract start date; or enrollment in upcoming courses at orientation
• Experience in emergency room nursing preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to adhere to legal and regulatory standards in healthcare provision
